What's so interesting about seeing a display where we can't read the text and all that's happening is that someone is spinning and zooming a globe and about learning what file formats Explorer supports?

I agree. All that for Arc Explorer? I've used ESRI stuff for over 10 years, and have never seen anyone ever use Arc Explorer.

Try the whole education field - ArcExplorer is very widely used in classrooms all over the world and has served as a major tool to introduce thousands of kids to thinking spatially.
